Eurovision Geekery:

So last night we and a couple of friends watched the annual Eurovision Song Contest and celebrated Iris' birthday a week early -- which is actually pretty funny, since the friend who pushed us to have a little party next weekend forgot -- whoops!! -- that it's her fifth anniversary.

We kept track of our own scores throughout the evening, and as any of you who know the Eurovision can guess, there were some just god-awful songs. Some very cool tunes, though.

My points:

12: Bulgaria
10: Serbia
8: Ukraine
7: Hungary
6: Moldova
5: Lithuania
4: Finland
3: France
2: Bosnia
1: FYR Macedonia

Were we four the judges, though, the host city next year would be back in Kyiv -- the Ukranian entry got 38 total points from we four.

As it is, the Serbian entry won. Good -- that girl could certainly sing.

Now, if they could just figure out how to correct some of the voting goofiness -- like all of the CIS countries voting for each other, regardless, all of the Balkans doing the same, etc.

Organic Farming

Gosh, who ever could have guessed that organic farming could actually be better across the board?

Uh, duh?
